I contacted the team at GPAA when I realised I had significant amounts outstanding to the ATO due to instalments for the year, which they based on a prior years return. As my consulting income had reduced, I was unable to make payment of these amounts, which Teresa advised would not be necessary to cover my tax liability for the year. Teresa was able to vary the current instalment and receive a credit for the prior instalment to reduce the amount I owed to zero - taking a huge weight off my shoulders.
